Motorrad und Zweiradwerk

I bought my MZ Skorpion Tour in 2002. I choose the Tour for the Yamaha 660 single-cylinder engine (I owned a Yamaha XT500 and SR500 previously), and its affordable price (the same price as a Kawasaki KLR but with better components, in my opinion). Its a nice looking bike and unusual enough that 99 out of 100 people (in America anyway) have never heard of it, so that’s fun. I’ve worried about the day when parts are hard to get, but I have had no trouble getting them locally when I needed them. However, its nice whenever possible to cross-reference the (engine) parts with Yamaha and just get them directly.

Aye Doug,
Thank you for putting the MZ manuals up on your site, an absolute Godsend as my wife has just acquired a Tour secondhand with no servicing manuals.
Have you visited this site? http://www.thumperclub.com/smf/index.php
You may, or may not wish to dip your toe into the water and read the Forums etc. Whatever, our thanks, keep the black bits on the tarmac, hope the weeun enjoys motorcycles and you all stay healthy.
Our regards, Bill and Kat.

I’ve been looking for the owners manual for two years….very hard to come by as I’m sure you know. The link for the manual is not working though. Is there any chance you could email the manual to me. I’m really struggling with changing the oil and I can’t find a manual anywhere else. I appreciate any help I can get. wishartluthier@hotmail.com

Just like to second what others have said – really useful to find the manuals here. Just got a Skorpion Sport and been looking everywhere for info.
Cheers!

hey Brandon, you don’t say where you are, but you can find some dealer info at http://www.mzriders.com/viewforum.php?f=18
You could try Dave or Mike at SF Moto, but I’m entirely sure they are still carrying MZ parts or not…

Thank you very much for providing this valuable infomation. There is no dealer network here in Australia so we nust repair our bikes ourselves and having this info has made it imensley easier
